MON-  We will distribute our new workbooks to be put into binder. We will watch introductory video on the Triangular Trade Route and work a handout on that. We will then work a Scavenger Hunt handout for the new text. Students will be given another STORY ELEMENTS handout if needed. We will highlighit 10 more words that they will be assessed on later.

TUES-  L1-2 We will continue scavenger hunt if not finished. We will then analyze the poem, “Sugar Cane”

WED- L3-4- We will analyze the painting “Cane Cutting” and compare the poem to the painting and work related workbook pages..

THURS – L5- We will start the book, beginning at the Prologue.

FRI- L6- We will begin Part 1 of book when done with the Prologue.
