MON- TEACHER INSERVICE (NO STUDENTS)

TUES- We will go over HATCHET chapters 6 and 7 and questions on wb p. 11 focusing on Brian’s challenges in the wilderness and how he reacts to them. We will read CH 8 and answer questions, on wb p 12. including writing a blog on chapters 6-8.

WED- We will complete yesterday’s work then work wb p 28 finding evidence to support changes in Brian’s emotions (direct quotes) that depict how Paulsen develops point of view. We

THURS- We will read mentor text written in first person point of view (wb p 30) and analyze how it changes our understanding of Brian. Now students will choose a scene from the text and wite it in FIRST person POV.

FRI- We will complete any incomplete work above, We will read chapters 9 and 10 and work on wb p 31 identifying text evidence to support the claim that Brian is learning and utilizing survival skills.
